you cantered down the hill next to me. the fizzing of binding energy scaring the wind away. i coughed and it was deep and long. you gave me that look, no in fact you didn't but in my head i saw you do it.

i hated it when you thought that way.

there was lettuce and bacon in there. and fools. great oodles of fools with their arms hanging out of the sides and their heads now silenced with doughy globs of buttery bread. their stupid matted hair making lines and catching in our teeth.

the thought turned to sickness in my stomach. but how could i blame you for lack of omniscience?

realising my mistake i looked across and grinned at you. you frowned and picked an arm from my teeth.
